What happened at the Emirates dinner soirée

Emirates

That is officially the longest blog title I have written so far, but then there is always room for firsts. Speaking of firsts, I got the chance to dine with The Face of Emirates Tanzania over a dinner soiree they threw on Wednesday 7th. Emirates invited a handful of bloggers to dine and chit chat about travel, the services they offer and of course go on and on about how awesome the UAE actually is. Don’t mind if I do!

I believe that the whole traveling experience starts from the smallest details like the cab you take to the airport, the flight you use to get to your destination and even the airport you choose to have a layover in. Seemingly minute, all these things set a tone for your holiday, work trip or whatever other reason for travel.

My most recent encounter with flying Emirates was when my husband and I were headed to Thailand and flew their Airbus 380 – FYI they have 82 in operation at the moment with other 60 on order. That plane is magnificent, the service impeccable and the food (you know how much of a foodie I am) divine! We loved the Dubai airport and kinda went slightly overboard with the duty-free shopping. Though I have been to Dubai once back in 2006, I can only imagine was a beauty it must’ve developed into. Theresia, The Face of Emirates Tanzania, gave us a blow by blow on the brand from what it takes to become an air hostess – as long as you are 21 and have your education in check, take a look at their website -, fun facts about the brand and the plane and lastly also broke down the meaning of “Hello Tomorrow” which I found fascinating.

I will paraphrase it this way, “Hello Tomorrow” is a positive attitude that the brand embodies. They are always looking to better themselves and not settle for the achievements they have won. They are looking to be innovators, leaders and most of all stay always winning. I definitely want to be associated with that power and inspiration.

I must say I had a wonderful time having dinner and meeting fellow bloggers like MissiePopular with whom I had a shoe-incidence (stolen from her). I do hope to experience UAE sometime in the near future to give you my perspective on the development. But until then Hello Tomorrow.
